Do you feel it too? Something is in the air...The climate is changing, gas prices are rising, job situations are shifting, and a sense of anxiety creeps in. Welcome to the contraction.

 

Contractions are necessary.  They will  birth a baby, but they are demanding and require full attention to the body.  They call for surrender to the process, surrender to body's inner wisdom. They are demanding on the baby.  Each contraction temporarily deprives the baby of air, only to massage it's body for more powerful oxygen intake.

 

We are the birthing mothers and the babies.  We are birthing and being birthed into a world of higher  consciousness. Our collective ego is dying and with it the structures that no longer support it's  consumer, exploitative approach.  The process is a little scary and unpredictable, yet inevitable. 

 

Take a deep breath.  Fear and oxygen equals excitement!   Mayan calendar ends at 1212. It is not a marker for the cataclysmic end of the world,  rather  an end of the world of separateness.  The birth process is challenging,  painful at times.  Yet there is no suffering bigger then being separated from God, our very source, the infinite wellspring of love.

 

Yes, things will be shifting. As far as the ego hangs on holding it's status quo, it will seem hard.  Just as the birthing mother needs to surrender to the inner wisdom of her body, we need to surrender to the wisdom of our soul.  Then everything flows.

 

Loosening the blockages of our ego-based limitations and tuning into the beauty of our inner guidance is what Tantra is about.  When we are guided by our soul, we can create beautiful world for  ourselves and everyone - for soul is that connecting link for all of us and all there is.
