Oh, what a joy to practice yoga with your little one...
Continuing your yoga practice after giving birth is not just for getting back in shape (although it works!) and make you feel good, it's also a very special way of connecting with your baby. Special yoga 'babysanas' do magic for your baby's developing mind, body and emotional well-being. The ability to deal positively with stress as well to relax deeply (practicing yoga enhances the developmental process, strengthening all functions of the nervous system) will become encoded as a foundation of well-being for future life. The tactile stimulation (integrating some 'baby massage' moves), together with body contact during yoga serve in promoting a very precious intimate bond (-very healing for moms and babies who had traumatic birth, breastfeeding difficulty, also great for loving dads!) By the way, it's not just women who benefit from strengthening pelvic floor muscles...
